With consumers, employees, and other stakeholders demanding that companies stand for clear values and give back to society, we’re pioneering Sephora’s first global purpose efforts. The Sr. Manager of Community Impact will report to the the Global Chief Purpose Officer to develop initiatives that promote Sephora’s vision of expanding the way the world sees beauty.
Key responsibilities
Program Captainship
Captains signature global CSR programs, starting with “Classes for Confidence” – our free beauty classes serving under-reprented or under-privileged communities worldwide
Coordinates best practices across Sephora’s 35+ markets, serving the needs of local program managers while ensuring a scalable and sustainable program
Ideation & Innovation
Generates new ideas that use Sephora’s business superpowers and leverages them for greater good
Facilitates workshops and other innovation practices to inspire business leaders to integrate Purpose into their everyday work
Community & Cohort Development
Provides assets and learning for ERG (employee resource group) leaders and other Purpose-driven executives, creating stronger community connections and mutual support
Develops a network of global NGOs and thought leaders aligned with Sephora’s values and priorities
Creates a knowledge bank of content and curriculum for our key global inclusion segments: women in the workforce, people with disabilities, and other under-represented or under-privileged communities
Identifies lightweight tools and processes for collaboration
Employee Engagement and Volunteerism
Drives volunteerism and giving, finding ways for Sephora employees to become involved in our Purpose.
Animates key moments of giving back to our communities and builds learning experiences that showcases the diversity of our communities
Requirements
- 7+ years leadership experience at a consumer-facing brand, ideally in CSR, DE&I, corporate philanthropy, innovation, or cause marketing
- Successful track record as a change agent and program manager – captaining a new business, pilot program, or strategic plan with significant cross functional stakeholder management
- Experience working in global settings cutting across multiple business and consumer cultures
- Meaningful experience working with non-profits or public/private collaborations
- Demonstrable passion for social equity, justice, women’s empowerment, and strong
- understanding of social issues worldwide
Position based in Paris 3 days/week
